The improvements to Howell Ferry Road were part of the new Gwinnett Medical Center–Duluth facility at Pleasant Hill Road. Hayes | James was involved in the project from the beginning, providing the initial coordination of the new hospital’s needs and the requirements of the Gwinnett Department of Transportation, along with the review of intersection improvements and road widening from Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to Pleasant Hill Road.

Hayes | James was responsible for the site engineering and construction documents for the roadway/intersection improvements, including the storm water management study, site utility installation/relocation, the design of turn lanes, and incorporation of two new entrances into the Gwinnett Medical Center–Duluth.

Hayes | James provided construction staking, boundary surveys, final platting, and complete permitting with the City of Duluth and Gwinnett County’s Department of Transportation.

Hayes | James provided design consultant services for a $1.2 million roadway project within Breckinridge Business Park. The 2-mile project connects Pleasant Hill Road and Boggs Road with a five-lane, median-divided connector road. Hayes | James’ construction services included topographic and boundary surveys and complete engineering and design documents.
