Sandtown Center is a 170-acre "live-work-shop-play" community situated around the existing lake and creeks along Boat Rock Road in South Fulton County. Hayes | James was involved with the mixed-use development, providing the initial coordination of existing rock formations and the final layout of the 324 single-family residences, along with the review of the wetlands, rezoning assistance, and land planning.

Hayes | James was responsible for the site engineering and construction documents for the four phases of the residential development, including the master storm water management and flood plain study, development of recreation and green space area, sediment and erosion control protection documents, and intersection improvements along Reynolds and Boat Rock Roads.

Hayes | James provided construction staking, boundary surveys, final platting, and complete permitting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Fulton County. 

Hayes | James provided site engineering, landscape architecture and civil construction documents for a 131,000 square foot facility located on a 63-acre site. Phase I of this Japanese firm’s future southeast headquarters was situated adjacent to a central 11-acre lake and represents the first part of an overall half-million square foot complex. Phase II of the project was located across the lake, requiring a bridge to connect the two facilities. The result was a decorative yet functional rock-faced structure which became a focal point of the project as well as the business park in which it is situated. Responsibilities included project design and management and bridge design.
